Andrea Soria oversees the Performance Environments Consultation area and is a Living Office Specialist for Mexico and Latin America at HermanMiller. She conducts studies and interacts with clients to optimize existing work environments to get the best performance from their employees. Prior to HermanMiller, she was Design Director at KMD Arquitects. Soria has more than 12 years of experience in the design industry and has been involved in projects in the US, Asia, Middle East, Mexico and Latin America.
Gabriel Pizá is the Managing Partner of law firm Pizá Abogados. He has over 24 years of experience as a trial lawyer and labor consultant. He was a Partner in the labor area of Basham, Ringe y Correa. Also, he was a litigation area coordinator of Sánchez Law Buffet. Pizá’s academic background includes a Bachelor’s in law from UNAM and a professional title from the Pan American Institute of Senior Management (IPADE). Pizá was recognized in 2017 by Chambers and Partners Latin America.
Guido van der Zwet has been General Manager Americas for iPS – Powerful People since 2013. iPS – Powerful People offers personnel solutions, payroll, permanent staffing and project management. Van der Zwet has been in Mexico since 2006 in several commercial positions, creating business opportunities in the country and throughout Latin America. He is also cofounder of the Dutch Energy Association and Holland House Mexico, nonprofit organizations that support Dutch companies in Mexico and Mexican energy companies in the Netherlands.
Claudia Escalante started her career in human resources more than 17 years ago in the IT industry. In 2010, she joined ROSEN, where she holds a dual role. As Head of Human Resources for the US, Mexico and Central America, she leads the alignment of HR services. As Head of Company HR Processes and Systems, Escalante ensures a consistent global definition, execution and monitoring of processes, software and data requirements across HR processes.
Blanca Conesa has over 25 years of experience working in professional services firms for the public and private sectors. Conesa is Senior Client Partner at Korn Ferry and specializes in guiding companies through talent and human capital challenges, improving performance through the implementation of human resources strategies. Conesa also has experience collaborating with international organizations in the design of compensation packages to attract and retain talent. She has a BA in actuary from ITAM and has completed studies in risk management and corporate finances.
María Luisa Rocha has over 25 years of experience in staffing at ManpowerGroup. Prior to joining the company, Rocha was Customer Service Manager for IFS Mexico, a branch of Colgate Palmolive, and Commercial Representative at Servitemporal. She holds a degree in international relations from UNAM, a diploma in HR from UP and IPADE. Rocha also holds a certification in creativity and leadership innovation from the Certification Center in Creativity.
Francisco Briseño is a human capital partner and a change management leader at Deloitte Consulting. He has over 19 years of experience in consulting services for the public and private sectors in Mexico, Europe and Latin America and has carried out projects that cover the entire life cycle of a transformation, from strategic planning to service implementation. Briseño has a strong record of delivering business results on transformational projects, helping the leaders of large companies to understand and manage change.
Carola Rosillo has been with AVON for eight years. Previously, she spent 17 years in human resources for companies like Cadbury, Adams, Boehringer-Ingelheim, SCA and Clorox. At AVON, she started as a business partner focused on talent management and continued in the sales area as HR Business Partner. Rosillo became Director of Human Resources for Commercial Business in 2018. Her academic background includes a Bachelor’s in psychology and a graduate degree in business administration.
Jaime Cervantes has been Director General at Grupo Vitalmex since 2007. His lengthy career in the health sector includes many achievements. Among the most illustrative is having co-founded the Scientific Medical Committee for the research and development of the first Ventricular Assist Device in Latin America. Cervantes also holds multiple diplomas and professional recognitions from prestigious institutions like IPADE, ITAM and Tec de Monterrey
Andrés Sánchez has extensive experience in positions of maximum responsibility within the business process outsourcing (BPO) and customer service sectors. His career includes more than 14 years at ATENTO, where he held senior management positions in Venezuela, Spain, Peru and Mexico. In December 2016, Sánchez took over the general management of Randstad Mexico. During 2019-2020, Sánchez will join the Board of Directors of the Mexican Association of Human Capital Companies (AMECH).
Liliana Méndez’s career at WeWork started in 2017 when she was responsible for overseeing a team of Account Managers across Latin America. In this project, Méndez was responsible for managing the relationship with the company’s biggest clients, with over 1,000 employees worldwide. Méndez is now the Director of Community for Mexico City. Before joining WeWork, Méndez worked with companies such as Microsoft and Oracle, always with a focus on Customer Experience.
Tracey Friend joined Agile One in 2010 and brought with her a wealth of knowledge and perspectives that have enriched the company’s growth. She began as VP of Solutions Design and helped the company to explore new markets. Her breadth of expertise includes consulting, workflow design, management and program and technology design for both direct and contingency workforce solutions. Friend has a broad base of business, recruiting and leadership experience that is critical in the execution of her role.
Oscar Harada is a corporate entrepreneur who strives to transform the Latin American region through the use of disruptive technologies for connecting people and improving productivity. He is a recruitment consultant at LinkedIn and develops strategic plans for talent attraction and the implementation of cloud technologies in recruitment and training processes. Harada has collaborated with Fortune 500 companies, such as 3M, PwC and Intel as well as startups from Silicon Valley.
José Antonio Quesada’s career includes 32 years of experience in consulting on strategic project management for financial institutions as a Partner in the Financial Sector at PwC Mexico. He was National President of the Mexican Institute of Executives in Finance (IMEF) and President of the institute’s foundation. Quesada chaired the Social Responsibility Committee of COPARMEX and the Subcommittee of Directors on Corporate Governance of the Business Coordinating Council. He is also a professor at UNAM.
Lilia Ana Alfaro is an internationally-recognized consultant who has held management and consulting positions at public institutions and private companies. Alfaro is also recognized for her experience with strategic business training programs, distance education projects using e-learning, design and implementation of educational models for business and academic training based on technology, as well as talent management models for the public and private sectors.
Jaime Zapata has vast experience in the design and implementation of educational models for business training based on technology. He also participated in the strategic planning for the design and implementation of corporate universities, such as INFONAVIT and PEMEX. Previously, he served as Director of Programs for the Development of Educators and Educational Institutions of the Vice Rector for Research and Development at ITESM. He holds a Master's in cognitive development and psychology of intelligence from Tec de Monterrey.
Eduardo Curiel has over 10 years of experience leading distance education and technology projects, specializing in the design of corporate university and competency certification models. He is passionate about the processes of teaching and learning. His learning model is based on 4Cs: Contextualization, Connection, Collaboration and Continuity. Curiel holds a Bachelor’s in pedagogy from UNAM, a diploma in strategic HR from Universidad Panamericana and a coaching diploma from Harvard University
Gustavo Linares has 11 years of experience in human resources management and talent development in the US, the Emirates, Seychelles, Spain and Mexico. He has a Bachelor’s in business administration from the University of Houston, majored in human resources at the Emirates Academy in Dubai and holds a Master’s in international finance from the ESC School of Business in France. Linares is the UN’s youngest HR director and has been a TED and UN speaker.
Margriet Leemhuis was appointed to the Ducth Embassy in Mexico in 2016 and is also the accredited Dutch Ambassador to Belize. Leemhuis has been part of the Dutch Foreign Affairs Service since 1989. After a first assignment in Santiago de Chile, she served during the Dutch EU presidency in 1991 as Second Secretary to Minister Hans van den Broek. She was also Deputy Chef de Poste in London and Bratislava and Head of the Unity International Culture Policy and Ambassador for International Cultural Cooperation.
Alberto Uribe joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in December under President López Obrador. From 2015 to 2018, he was Municipal President of Tlajomulco de Zúñiga in the state of Jalisco and from 2013 to 2014 was City Hall General Secretary. Uribe has two Bachelor’s degrees from the University of Guadalajara, one in law and one in political and government studies. He holds a Master’s in constitutional law from ITESO.
João Nunez leads Michael Page’s Mexico offices and the Central American desk, covering the company’s operations in Panama, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Dominican Republic and the Page Executive division. Nunez has a BA in international relations, specialized in international business strategy. He has over 15 years of experience across multiple areas at Michael Page and working in different countries such as Brazil, Portugal and Mexico.
Jorge Becerril is an experienced HR Director, currently leading the human capital team of Altán Redes, the consortium behind the renowned Shared Network project. Becerril has more than 30 years of experience as an ontological coach, with training in Shamanism, Buddhism, self-expression and leadership. He has a Master's in human capital and human resources, is a certified mindfulness guide and has dedicated part of his career to unconventional technologies for unleashing human capital’s potential.
